At The Risk of Sounding Like an Ass...

Tue Nov 3, 2009, 6:19 PM
Deviantart is not Photobucket. You wanna post a million pictures of yourself in your cosplay, or a million pics of yourself out at the beach, or doing whatever (i'm not picking on anyone specifically), go do it on Photobucket.

I understand that everyone is proud of something they make, and that everyone is entitled to their right to show that accomplishment off. I would love to see a picture of you in your costume, or the prop you made for your costume.

But posting thirty pics of the same costume, prop, person, location, etc, is ridonculous. Post 'em up to Photobucket, put the link in your journal, and ask which ones we, your watchers, like the best, and then post a few of the best on your DA. That's just a suggestion off the top of my head. There may be other ways I'm not thinking of. Bottom line is that I don't want to turn off the option for me to receive updates on your deviations, because you might actually post some art, and I'll miss it.

I am seriously not trying to hate, and I understand it's coming off as harsh, and that is totally okay with me, but look at it this way. When I draw a picture, I don't post that same picture thirty times. I might RE-DO the picture and post it again, but that's totally okay if you do that too!

Please don't freak on me. If you want to, I understand however.

:iconcry-baby-cry:
Hey! I think I saw you at ColossalCon this year. I was outside with a bunch of guys who were smoking and you walked past. I remember going "Cloud...berg?" and you excitedly confirmed it and then talked to me for a couple minutes about it. You're a really nice guy and your costume cracked me up.

Are you ever going to do any variations on it? Like Tidusberg or anything?
:iconcloudberg:
i actually plan on doing variations on it for a long time to come. Last colossal con i did Reno-berg, and when I actually have a Tidus cosplay, Tidusberg will follow.

thanks for the compliment though. i think i remember you (was it night outside?) Maybe i do maybe I don't. Trowa Barton kicks ass by the way.
:iconcry-baby-cry:
Yep, it was night. I think you said you were missing parts of the costume because you were too lazy to put the whole thing on or something. I don't remember exactly.

And yes, Trowa Barton most certainly does.

Beautiful gallery.

I love your pencils, they're very nice :D :D

I don't know why, but I always like things done in pencil than anything esle...for whatever reason, a plain HB pencil is my best media and first choice for media when drawing :D :D

:iconcloudberg:
thank you so much. It's not often I hear that sort of thing, in an age and environment where everything is digital. Not that I wouldn't love to get back into doing digital again.

Personally, I use a mechanical pencil though lol.
:iconthepuzzlegirl:
You're welcome :) I truly love your pencils :D

Digital is all cool and fun, but I still think traditional is the best media, it just seems so much ...well, I dont exactly know how to put it actually. ^^;

I draw everything in pencil, my old gallery on my old account has so much pencil stuffs :D

Mechanical pencil? I used them for a while, then I stopped buying them cuz they cost me more than regular pencils ^^;
